Potato Republic (Istanbul)
I received an email from Erdal in Istanbul, Turkey. Apparantly, way back in 2006, he opened a shop selling different kind of potatoes. It is located on the outskirts of Istanbul in an area called Beylikduzu.
No idea about the quality of his fries as I have not visited his place yet. Judging from the pictures on the (Turkish only) website, they are frozen fries, not double-fried Belgian style, so for the moment I will not classify his business as a real Belgian Fry shop. But I understand Erdal wants to move on and concentrate on a Belgian Fries type of shop.
If anyone has more information, please let me know.
hi erdal
this is your first fries shop in turkey or you have more?
Is the people in Turkey likes the belgian fries or they prefer MacDonalds or some other hamburger’s shop?
Potatoes are one of the most common vegetables all over the world. They are cheap, easy to cook and have so many health benefits.
You can bake them, boil them, microwave them… everyone can make something to eat with potatoes.I will start to grow tomatoes
in my farm and now learning watever i can about them, thanks for information. I also found another good site
about potatoes and so many other methods of agriculturing, i recommend you to take a look.
