The Frietkot voted best-known symbol of Belgium

mpis2Last week the Frietkot (fry shop) was voted the most typical “Face of Belgium”.  Another great victory for our unsurpassed streetfood!

The Frietkot came first in the competition with an unbeatable 44.85%, followed by the world-famous Atomium (35.41%), Manneken Pis (on the left, 10.95%) and our delicious pralines (8.78%).

    The Belgians are the first who invented Belgian Fries.
    We welcomed Ambiorix King of the Eburone Folks in the year 54 before Christ. Abiorix loved Belgian Fries very much and introduced it all over Europe. The French stole it from the Belgians.
    Anthony was there.
