Some years ago, after my appearance on Belgian television, I received these beautiful b&w pictures from Daniel Lambrechts. Here is his tribute to the many vanished fry shacks that made the Belgian landscape so unique.

    THe best frites were at the grand place at night on the weekends, a hole in the wall next to Kelder, that was in the late 1960’s. a cold beer and some frites and even Belgian weather was looking good

    Ik kreeg uw naam van Leslie Patton van Associated Press. Ik denk dat wij beter al wat eerder met elkaar in contact gekomen waren, want wij hebben dezelfde interesse voor frietkoten en de frietcultuur. Op facebook vindt ge een hele hoop foto’s van frietkoten en ook allerlei aanverwante dingen, zoals de kunstwerken van het Frietkotmuseum, nu het Frietmuseum in Brugge. Hoop van u te horen!
