Potato Republic 2 (Istanbul, Turkey)

potatorepublic0A new fry shop was opened a few months ago by Erdal, my fry-friend in Istanbul. He opened the first Potato Republic a few years ago, pioneering Belgian style fries in Turkey.

He told me a year ago he was ready for his second challenge. Apparently he found a good spot in the busy district Besiktas on a corner of Sair Leyla Street.

I did not have an opportunity to taste the fries, so I will comment on that next time I visit Istanbul. Judging from the pictures Erdal knows what a portion of good Belgian fries should look like.
