249 days after the last election, Belgium still has no government (or no new government to be exact, the old one is still in place as an interim-government). Thus, on Feb. 17th 2011, Belgium broke the world record (previously in the hands of Iraq). To celebrate this “honor”, thousands of people were treated free Belgian Fries in different cities throughout the country.

The Fries Revolution (Frietrevolutie) movement chose Fries as the symbol of their protest. It is Belgian Fries that keep this country together afterall!

As an American GI & stationed in Belgium 1983-1986 it was my duty to travel across Belgium to work on military communications sites. All those trips across the country gave me many opportunities to stop at a local frituure for some wonderful frits and a brochette or sometimes some voulavent or stovevlees. I’m sure I’m still carrying some of it around my waistline!

- you can use it in classical, folk, rock n roll, clues,
jazz, blues. This can be a lot of information for children to
absorb at once, so you might want to use the same song over several lessons.
This makes it easy to find any note you want on the fret board.
