Pommes Frites 2 – NYC (closed)
123 2nd Ave. (between 7 & 8 St.), New York City, NY 10003
Last visited: Sep. 2005
My comments in 1999: Suzanne Levinson was the first to make a business selling ‘the authentic Belgian fries’ on the streets in New York. She started her first outlet in 1997 and owns 2 at the moment (as far as I know). I never met her…. Maybe next time, Suzanne?
Prices in 1999: $3.00 for a regular, $4.25 for large and $5.50 for a double portion.
I understand the shop has closed shortly after my last visit (nothing to do with me I hope ).
Pictures below are from both Pommes Frites shops:
I was here Dec 2, 2009 and the shop is not only open, but thriving! Absolutely great in every way!
this place is still open, i was there today 2/21/2009
