Belgian Frie – San Diego (USA) (closed) [updated]

Submitted by mich on Friday, 12 December 20082 Comments - 66,014 views

This fry shop is no more … After three years in business, the Belgian Frie has closed its doors in Pacific Beach.

Judging from the name of the owners (Rene & Marcelle), they must have been Belgian … not sure because I never had any contact with them [update: I just found out in my email, I did have contact with them re. the paper cones]. If you know more, please let me know.

I can’t believe they closed! I went there at least once a month for the awesome waffles. I had to go buy my own waffle maker yesterday to try to make my own now. If anyone knows their recipe, let me kknow.

    Sad! It was wonderful.
